UV Education
Although many sunglasses feature lenses that deliver 100% UV Protection, the sunglass frame itself is as important as the lenses. If you are wearing a pair of sunglasses that feature UV blocking lenses, but the frame doesn't completely isolate your eyes from unfiltered peripheral light, then your eyes are still being exposed to harmful UV rays. Light travels very quickly, so if light can penetrate behind, above and beneath the frame of a sunglass, the purpose of the UV absorbing filters (lenses) can be severely diluted. Untreated light will still be reaching your eyes.

All Dioptics sunglasses feature designs that conform to our principals of Advanced UV Protection™. The frames are designed to fit comfortably, but provide additional protection. All of our sunglass styles feature top, peripheral and underside protection. Advanced UV Protection™ prevents the majority of untreated light from reaching your eyes.

With Advanced UV Protection™, your eyes can begin to properly relax. The majority of light that reaches your eyes has been filtered and maintains a constant transmission, creating a tranquil, serene environment. Your eyes do not have to continually adjust to fluctuating light conditions. Many of our customers tell us that after wearing our sunglasses for about ten minutes, they feel calmer. The soothing effect on your eyes is beneficial. Your eyes won't get as tired as they might normally.
